The cast and crew of our very own stage production of "Oklahoma". I have no names for this picture as yet but I see Mr. Emond on the far left. This would be about 1962 or 63.
The Saints transmorgrified into "The Action" after moving to Winnipeg, and later still "The Typical Small Town Band". They were later to record in Minneapolis and eventualy wound up in Vancouver where they were featured on a CBC TV show "Let's Go" that never actually aired. Bruce has many interesting stories about this phase of his life. Still, they needed real work in order to support their music habit and so opened a retail music outlet that offered a recording studio and music lessons. They both prompty married and subsequently closed the store (probably because their wives did not want to be married to intinerant wanderlust musicians) and have since taken up other occupations. I believe Bruce is now an ice cream vendor in Stanley Park.
The following four images are the pages of the program given out for the 1964 musical production of "Bits and Pieces" which proved to be quite a hit. It is reproduced here for the benefit of those who took part in the production, and for those who remember it with fondness. Thanks Bruce!
